MAHSF Announces Chelsea High School as Second High School Partner

The Massachusetts Hispanic Scholarship Fund (MAHSF) is excited to announce that Chelsea High School (CHS) will join Lawrence High School as our second high school partner.  We will begin working with CHS for the 2023-2024 academic school year to engage with students and their families to provide a $4,000 scholarship for a student attending a 4-year university or college or a $2,000 scholarship for a 2-year community college or vocational school.

CHS, like LHS, is an important school for MAHSF and we are reaching our focused population with 89% of their students are Hispanic with a large population that are new to this country, with a large number of first-time college students emerging from the high school and more than 21% of households below the poverty line.

The goal of MAHSF is to address some of the most challenging issues Hispanic students and families face in navigating scholarships while providing an impactful scholarship of its own.  As a 501 c3 charitable organization we seek to work with high schools in the Commonwealth that have the largest Hispanic communities with the greatest need.  We look forward to working with the students, families and guidance teams at Chelsea High School this upcoming year and for many years to come.
