MAHSF Delivers $12,000 in Scholarships to Four Deserving LHS & CHS Students

In two separate ceremonies the Massachusetts Hispanic Scholarship Fund (MAHSF) is proud to award a $4,000 and $2,000 scholarship to our outstanding scholars at the Lawrence High School Alumni Association Scholarship Banquet as well as a $4,000 and $2,000 scholarship to our outstanding inaugural scholars at Chelsea High School’s Awards night .  All four students will be moving on to college in the Fall to schools including Wentworth Institute of Technology, Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Simmons University and Northern Essex Community College.

These students represent excellent academic achievement, had after school jobs, were engaged in school or outside activities yet also overcame challenging obstacles to arrive in this country, learn a new language, deal with standardized testing, take college courses and apply to college.  All students were part of their college programs where they were able to take college courses for free at Northern Essex Community College, Merrimack College or Bunker Hill Community College.

We are so proud to be able to present these amazing LHS and CHS students with our scholarships after engaging with both schools all year.  We look forward to working with both schools again in the 2024-2025 academic year.
