Meet our Social Media Marketing Intern, Laura Cadavid

At the beginning of this summer, the Massachusetts Hispanic Scholarship Fund welcomed our first intern to the team: Laura Cadavid, a Colombian student pursuing her master’s in marketing and bringing a strong design background from her BFA in Animation.

For the past 10 weeks, Laura has become the voice and mind behind MAHSF’s social media presence. As part of our initiative to amplify our work and connect better with students at Lawrence and Chelsea High Schools, Laura has organized and conceptualized brand-new content, giving our efforts a fresh visual identity through graphics and imagery that highlight the organization’s work; designed and edited stills and reels for our Instagram and Facebook platforms; and interviewed some of our scholarship recipients to share their stories and new academic endeavors.

Nothing makes us prouder than being part of the growth of our Hispanic students, and what better example of that than having on our team a student not only passionate about her craft and career growth but also driven by a genuine commitment to our mission of making higher education more within reach for Latino students so they can push their futures further.
