The Massachusetts Hispanic Scholarship Fund (MAHSF) and Rockland Trust have come together as strategic partners. The bank will become a major sponsor, joining the many other sponsors that are working with us as we address some of the most challenging issues Hispanic students and families face in navigating scholarships and provide an impactful scholarship of our own. Rockland Trust will also serve as a key banking partner for our charity as we look to continue to grow our relationship and enable the bank to work with the schools and communities we serve.
Rockland Trust, the third-largest traditional bank headquartered in Massachusetts, is committed to strengthening the communities in which they live and work. Rockland Trust, a Massachusetts bank for almost 120 years, advocates and provides funding for non-profit community organizations that support the diverse communities they serve. They are proud to be among just 10% of U.S. Banks awarded the highest possible “outstanding” rating for their work to comply with the Community Reinvestment Act. Their most recent performance evaluation by the FDIC validated the banks’ success in meeting the credit needs of communities across their footprint, including low and moderate-income individuals, neighborhoods and businesses.
The Massachusetts Hispanic Scholarship Fund has been working with Lawrence High School since 2022 and Chelsea High School since 2023 to engage with students, guidance, faculty and parents and provide impactful scholarships of our own.
